Clear, honest safety checks for homes, landlords and businesses

Electrical Safety Reports (EICR)

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a full check of everything electrical in a building. We look at the fuse box, the wiring and every socket and light. It tells you what is safe, what needs work and what can wait.

Landlords in England must have a satisfactory EICR at least every five years. Businesses need their wiring checked too. You get the full report and a plain-English summary. If something needs fixing, we give you one fixed price.

EICR questions, answered

How much does an EICR cost?

It depends on the size of the building and how many circuits it has. You get a clear price before you book, with rates agreed up front for landlords with more than one home.

How often do I need an EICR?

Rented homes need one at least every five years. For your own home, every ten years is the usual guide, and sooner for older wiring or when you buy.

What if the report is unsatisfactory?

It means one or more things need work. We explain each one in plain English and give you a fixed price to fix them.

How long does an EICR take?

Two to four hours for most homes. Shops and offices take longer, and we can plan it around your opening hours.
