Why does my fuse box keep tripping?
Most often it is a faulty appliance, water in an outside light or socket, or a damaged cable. We test circuit by circuit to find which one. The switch that trips (the RCD) is doing its job.
Half my sockets have stopped working. Is that serious?
It is often one loose or broken connection on a circuit, and it can be fixed. Loose connections get hot though, so do not leave it. We can usually find and fix it in one visit.
